Home Learning

Over the holidays, there is still activities that the children CAN do but treat it as normal a holiday as you can. However, there is also an example of a typical day and how you can structure it as well as more general one.

We have also set up remote learning on Google Classroom for all year groups from Key Stage One and Key Stage Two and Reception too.  This allows the teachers to set tasks and links for the children to do over the coming weeks online. All children should have been sent home with their login details this week.

The teaching staff will be updating Google Classroom weekly after Easter but have already put things on in some years groups for children to try. Please encourage your children to login to this weekly as it helps us to keep open lines of communication. As always, remind your children to be responsible with their online behaviour.

As well as this, we have set up individual emails for each year group as below:

Reception – yearrwel@welearn365.com

Year 1 – year1wel@welearn365.com

Year 2 – year2wel@welearn365.com

Year 3 – year3wel@welearn365.com

Year 4 – year4wel@welearn365.com

Year 5 – year5wel@welearn365.com

Year 6 – year6wel@welearn365.com

These are for general questions about Google Classroom, spag.com or mymaths.com and is not for urgent requests as it will not be checked daily. As the staff are also looking after the children who are in school, please don’t ask for extra work,

Below is a user guide for parents and carers that Mrs Wiggins has put together and will help you log into Google Classroom. Purple Mash in particular is a brilliant resource for children to use.

In terms of reading, please keep children reading by reading through the books in your house and also using any online reading scheme. You can buy into the Oxford Reading Tree app if you wish but there are free resources on www.oxfordowl.co.uk via the home learning link and I know other online resources are opening up their wesbites for free. The Wellesbourne Library has also contacted us to let us know that at the moment they are open for business as usual.

There are also many links to good resources on the PARENTS page of this website.

Thank you for your co-operation.
