Frequently Asked Questions
We have had a number of questions asked on a regular basis by parents new to the school. Here are some answers.....
Please feel free to send any feedback using the Website Feedback form, if more information is required and we will add it to this page.
School Day
The school day starts at 9.00am, with children being supervised on the playground from 8.50am. Children should not be arriving before 8.50am and should stay on the playground until 9.00am (i.e. not come in to school). This is for supervision and safety reasons and I would be grateful if you could re-iterate this at home. Many thanks indeed.
SATs WEEK
SATs week is always the 2nd/3rd week in May. Parents are requested not to take their children out of school in this week.
CRB Checks
If you volunteer your services to a member of staff, you will need to register with the office in order for us either to view your CRB check or arrange for one to be completed. This is obviously VERY important for the safety of our children and we thank you for your support.
Dogs
The school grounds are a Dog Free Site. Please ensure all dogs are kept outside the gates and on the opposite side of the path to the school.
Open Afternoon
Your chance to come into school to have a look at what goes on throughout the school, with your child. Pick them up from their classroom, and have a look around at everything that’s going on.
Non School Uniform & Bring a bottle days…
Organised to collect bottles for the School Summer or Christmas Fayre, in return for not wearing school uniform, the children bring in bottle, or party bag, as requested. This is organised by the Friends of the School.
