At Wellesboune CE Primary School our approach to History is to furnish the children with historical knowledge and skills in order to be able to have an understanding of historical chronology. Through this, they will develop a sense of identity and a cultural understanding based on their historical heritage. We will teach children to investigate past events, developing skills of enquiry, analysis, interpretation and problem-solving. This will enable the pupils to compare and contrast different periods of time as they move through the school on issues such as laws, daily life, religion, war and technology.
